Hundreds of job seekers filled the ground floor of Tarakan Mall during the 2025 Job Fair held on June 29, 2025. The event was organized by the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) of North Kalimantan Province in collaboration with the Tarakan City Government through the Department of Industry and Manpower.

The job fair featured 506 job openings from 12 participating companies, including PT Phoenix Resource International (PRI), which offered 20 job positions across 19 work units.

As the largest pulp producer in North Kalimantan, PRI opened a variety of positions such as Procurement Unit Manager – Chemical, Cataloguer, IT Server Engineer, Management System & Environment Superintendent, Mechanical Technician, Operator – Milling & Shaper Machine, WTP Process Engineer, H₂O₂ DCS Operator, and several others.

These opportunities are available for graduates ranging from vocational high school (SMK), senior high school (SMA), to bachelor’s degree (S1) holders, with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience required for most positions.
